Learning Design Manager

37 hours per week

Salary £37,299 per annum

39 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday and Company days) + 2 wellbeing days a year + weekly exercise and wellbeing hours

This is a Home based role

Role Summary:
The overall purpose of this role is to support the development and delivery of Safe Sport, Judge & Teacher
Education against the Sport & People Development department’s strategic priorities. Collaborating on the
design and development of new and inspiring learning programmes and awards. Evolving and redesign
resources, delivery materials and assessment strategies, in line with strategic objectives. To apply technical
knowledge of the sport to ensure high quality, accurate and innovative learning solutions in the development
of new and existing Judge and Teacher education courses and resources. *Please refer to the Role Profile for full details*

Main Areas of Responsibility:
1. Manage the development of Safe Sport, Judge and Teacher education and qualifications, courses and
resources
Typical Activities:

  • Developing a long-term plan for judging course delivery which provides consistency and standardisation
    across disciplines, levels and cycles.
  • Working with key government bodies and stakeholders to develop our teacher education offer in line
    with current curriculum requirements across Primary and Secondary education
  • Aligning teacher qualifications to any appropriate standards.
  • Working with the Coach Developers to support the appropriate training of judge and teacher education
    deliverers
  • Managing the work programme and deliverables of the Learning Designers to develop new and update
    existing resource

2. Manage and maintain relationships with technical committees, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and
colleagues across the organisation
Typical Activities:

  • Working closely with the Coach Developers to ensure decisions regarding course delivery and resource
    creation align to already established processes within the Safe Sport & People Department.
  • Working closely with technical committees to prioritise and sign-off on new resources and course
    materials
  • Providing Safeguarding, judge and teacher education support to colleagues across the organisation and projects, specifically those linked to coaching courses and/or awards.
    • Working with colleagues in Digital Production, IT, Marketing & Communications, and Performance driving
    the strategy for more cost effective and accessible learning

  • 3. Develop delivery materials and supporting resources in conjunction with the Coach Developers
    Typical Activities:
    Working collaboratively with the Coach Developers ensuring the tutor and assessor workforce is
    appropriately skilled and equipped to facilitate the delivery, assessment and review of courses to a
    consistently high standard i.e. engaged tutors meet the standards of workforce license.
